8) There is no “magic bullet” to earn back the trust lost from the administration’s “unacceptable” mishandling of an alleged rape case, the University of Massachusetts’ dean of students told the campus community in this March 3, 2010 video, which accompanied an article. At an emotional, one-hour discussion, campus administrators were challenged with questions on how and why a student who reportedly confessed to raping a UMass alum in fall 2009 received “too light” of a punishment.
